Hierarchy, there must be a better way
In case you hadn?t noticed in past years there has been this radical shift centred around the value of information; who can access it and what importance this has on the how business, education and governments are managed.
In a recent post by +Harold Jarche he put it this way
For people who have been working in the same job for 10 years or more, when they step out they will see that it?s a different world today. Almost everything is online and connected and there?s no social media policy regulating it all.
And +Jon Husband, who bring us Wirearchy ?a dynamic two-way flow of power and authority based on information, knowledge, trust and credibility, enabled by interconnected people and technology?, says
The new interconnected environment demands new principles for organizing collaborative activity. Traditional hierarchy does not lead and support networked activity as well as newer forms and principles.
So all to play for it seems; find ways to start flattening that pyramid!
